marsh fishing

Alright, so this one isn’t one of my best…but it’s not too bad.  I was actually leaning out of a car window when I snapped this one (and pretty faraway from the bird at that).  In order to see the bird clearly, I had to unshapren the mask of the picture…which in turn made the sticks and grass around it look unnatural. I hate that.

In reality, I need a better camera—a real camera.  I need a camera with an 800mm lens instead of a fixed one. There is only so much I can do with  photo editing programs.  I won’t say what brand or type my camera is except that it’s a small step above one of those little pocket gizmoes. And the pixels are very low too. But money is tight to say the least, and I guess I will have to make do for now. One day though….

wed2 swamp

This was the back drop to my sister-in-law’s wedding back here in the spring.  It was really beautiful and this picture doesn’t do it justice.  This pic by the way was taken in the late afternoon when all was quiet.  If one listened hard enough and used his imagination, one could just make out  a hint of Cajun music blowing on the breeze; rustling amongst the irises.
